Potential and solutions for the development of geotourism products in Bay Nui area, An Giang province

Abstract
Bay Nui (That Son) area is an area with special geological values, located in a number of communes and wards of An Giang province (before July 1, 2025, it belonged to Tri Ton rural district and Tinh Bien town).
This area has long been a famous and unique destination with many natural and cultural values... with great potential to develop into a leading geotourism center in the Southwest region. Based on the synthesis of documents, field survey and the use of sociological investigation methods, this study summarizes the tourism resource values in Bay Nui area and propose some solutions to develop geotourism products - a type that is still quite new in Vietnam. The article will be a reference source for developing guidance documents, and at the same time provide a basis for proposing orientations and policies for tourism development of the government in the western region of An Giang province in the future.
