The Impact of User-Generated Content (UGC) on Consumers’ Purchase Behavior toward Environmentally Friendly Products
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aims to identify the factors influencing consumers’ green purchase intention and behavior, focusing on the roles of user-generated content (UGC), environmental concern (LN), and attitude toward the environment (TD). A quantitative method was employed using the PLS-SEM model with 5,000 bootstrap samples, based on survey data collected in Ho Chi Minh City. The results indicate that UGC strongly affects LN and TD, thereby enhancing green purchase intention and behavior. Moreover, LN and TD serve as crucial mediating variables linking awareness to action. This study contributes to extending the TPB, VBN, and SCT theories in the context of green consumption and provides practical implications for businesses to enhance green communication, leverage UGC effectively, and develop sustainable marketing strategies.
