Abstract

Nonlinear problems are always a concern for engineers and scientists because most natural systems are inherently nonlinear. Solving nonlinear systems of equations is often very complex and time- consuming. Nonlinear systems are often approximated by linearization, which is fairly accurate within a certain range of input values, but small changes in the system can cause complex effects. The author has chosen to combine the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) to achieve better performance. GWO performs better with unimodal and multimodal benchmark functions.
With two test problems, F1 and F2, the new GWOWOA algorithm shows more promising results compared to other algorithms in most cases. Regarding execution time, GWOWOA competes with GWO and WOA, never taking longer and sometimes being faster, as shown in problems F1 and F2.
Thus, this algorithm is very promising for solving nonlinear systems of equations
